Steps for uploading your website:

 

  1. Get parents' approval first!!!

  2. With the help of mom and dad, create an account by clicking here.

  3. Once you've created your account, be sure to bookmark the login page.

  4. Once you've created your account and your website address, then click "Go to CPanel."

  5. Be sure to bookmark your actual website as well.  You can find that link on the right side of the CPanel page under where it says "Account Information."

  6. Once you're on the CPanel page, scroll down the page and click on the picture that says "File Manager." (located under "Files.")

  7. Now click on the blue folder called public html.

     

  8. You will ALWAYS want to do this!

     

  9. You will ALWAYS want to upload your files to the "Public html" folder.

     

  10. You DO NOT want to upload your pages and images to any other folder!!

  11. Once you've clicked on the Public html folder, then click on the white box that says "upload."

  12. Click the gray box that says "browse" to find a file that you want to upload.  (upload the index file first!)

  13. Once you've found the file that you wish to upload, select it by double-clicking on it.

  14. Once you've selected the file, click on the GREEN checkmark to upload your file.

  15. Congratulations, if you followed these steps carefully, your file should be correctly uploaded!

  16. Go to your website address (which you bookmarked in step # 5) to see if your file has been uploaded.
