Acorn Cookies

 

1 3/4 cups of Flour

1/2 teaspoon of Salt

1/2 teaspoon of Baking Soda

1 teaspoon of Baking Power

1 teaspoon of Cinnamon

1 teaspoon of Nutmeg

1/2 pound of Butter

1 teaspoon of Vanilla

1 cup of Sugar

2 Eggs

1 cup of Raisins

1 1/2 cup of chopped Acorns

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Stir together to flour, salt, baking soda and powder, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream the butter. Add the vanilla and sugar, beat well. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Gradually add the sifted dry in gredients, beating until thoroughly mixed. Stir in acorns and raisins. Place well-rounded teaspoon full of dough 2 inches apart on a foil-covered cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
