Candlemas Crescent Cakes

 

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups of Flour

3/4 cup of Sugar

1 cup of finely ground Almond

3 drops of Almond Extract

1/2 cup of Butter, softened

I tablespoon of Honey

1 Egg Yoke

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large mixing bowl combine the first four ingredients. Add the butter, honey and egg yolk and mix together well. Cover with aluminum foil or plastic wrap and chill for 1 \'bd - 2 hours in refrigerator. When ready, pin ch off pieces of dough the size of a plum and shape them into crescents. Place the crescents on a well-greased cookie sheet and bake for approximately 20 minutes \par (Yields 1 dozen cookies) \par }}
