No-Cook Egg Nog

Ingredients:

12 pasteurized eggs, separated
1 lb. confectioner's sugar
2 quarts whipping cream
3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup water
3 cups rich milk (evaporated or whole)

Preparation:

Mix the egg yokes, sugar, and salt together and let stand in the refrigerator overnight so that the flavors can "marry". Next day, beat the egg whites until they are just stiff, then mix them in with the rest of the ingredients until slightly thick. Serve chilled.
