The pale moonlight shimmers down over the lake as you wander along it, rubbing your paws up and down your arms. At least your gryphon fur and feathers shields you from the cutting wind, and you feel rather cozy despite yourself. Well, at least this gryphon-form is better than anything else...
You wander onward, drifting away from the lake and deeper into the tundra. This place is beautiful and haunting, yet cold and distant, as if the world were shunning you, an outsider. But it is beautiful, too beautiful for words. You are so absorbed in looking at the surroundings, that you nearly tread on a still form lying in the snow, very quietly. You step back in surprise: It's an equine!! What would this equine be doing here?!
The winged equine finally opens its eyes and looks up at you. "Hoy, watch where you're going next time, willya?" he says in an irritated voice. "I'm just, like, lying here. Plain as day. Why does everyone trip over me like I'm an obstruction? Well, no matter," he concludes, after scrutinizing you for a moment. "I'm Apocalypse Shadowing New Daylight, a frondari."
The frondari stretches and stands up, yawning boredly. He is obviously intelligent, but snobbish. You decide that you won't be too fond of him. Giving you a last look, Apocalypse Shadowing New Daylight walks off, muttering under his breath about finding a new spot to sleep on. You shrug and wander onward. It wasn't your fault. It's Kaskazi Tundra's own fault, for looking so beautiful despite everything.
