Defending your own clan


Step 1:Before the raiders are in

1)Appoint a coordinator (usu the most experienced clannie)
2)Call for help from other clans
3)Go to the guard room, and LAND(disrupt fly/rem wing), and WEB yourself.
4)Spell up the guards, and wait for raiders
5)Poison yourself (if 190+)(to avoid getting strangled for too long)
6)Remove rot death eq, and wear magic-damage type weapons.(if abv lvl 160)

Emergency Step:

More often than not, your first warning of a raid are your main guards yelling blue murder
(1)Recall, move to the clan room before the guard room.
(2)Scan, and see who is the "biggest" guy (a matter of experience)
(3)Get all the clannies to pick a target each, and rush in at the same time:
(4)Sneak, fly/aardwing, go into the room, and LAND.
(5)Strangle all those who aren't fighting. [Lvl 160+]
(6)FLY and DISSOLVE the raiders. [Lower lvls]
(7)INTIMIDATE the "big" guy/"tank" (usually the one the guards are fighting) [Lvl 160+].
   If he gets rescued, AIM back, and try again.
   Intimidate has quite a lax level check, so anyone above 160 should try it.
(8)If you have neither : Blind the regenners, or somehow keep them occupied. Watch for rescues.
The aim here is to disrupt the flow of the attack, so you need to get there ASAP.
Once the tank is gone(ideal), or not getting his regens(though he may have potions), the guards will quickly kill the rest.

Step 2:When the raiders come in

(1)There is an INVADE lag, so you get first go at STRANGLE.
(2)HERBAL/CURE POISON the strangled raider.
(3a)You can either kill the raider (in which case WEB him then attack)(better).
(3b)Or you can INTIM him into the guard room (if no other raider is there)(worse).
(4)If you're in the guard room, STRANGLE whoever isn't fighting (the REGENNER).
(5)If you can't strangle, keep him occupied, blinded, or intimidated.
(6)c "fly" raider(or c 'major create' fly staff) + dissolve + intimidate works great.
    Aim to intimidate the leader(if any)
(7)If the guards die, "sac corpse" before the raiders get the key out.
(8)It is NOT essential (and very hard) to kill the raiders. Getting them out of the guard room into the jail is as good as killing them.

Step 3:Game over

(1)When you are killed, you'll end up in your morgue.
(2)Just pickup everything, heal, spellup, and try again. :)
(3)You might also end up in your jail (wimpy/flee/intimidated).
(4)Most importantly is NOT to open the jail door.
    This is especially if raiders have gotten the key.
    If you EVER open the door, NEVER go out yourself - you can't lock it then.
(5)Commit suicide if necessary, so the jail is once again empty.
(6)If raiders come in, entertain them and watch them kill themselves. :P
Never ever EVER open the door and leave. You CANNOT lock it once you are out. If this happens, return to the jail immediately, and close it.

Step 4:Raiders in the maze

In a serious raid, the guards will most likely die.
Raiders will then spread throughout the maze mapping it.
Harrass them, generally by (1)killing or (2)intimidating them.

Step 5:Raiders in the clan hall

Your last chance to stop them, but it'll be hard, especially since you won't have the help of allied clans (unless there's a manor entrance).
