Brooke, born in 1977, graduated with an Honors B.A. in English in 1995 from the University of Utah, with a special emphasis on creative writing. She is currently a children's librarian at the Murray Library, where she conducts Storytime, gives tours to Cub Scouts, does Readers' Advisory and who-knows-what else. She hopes to someday go to graduate school to receive a Master's in either Creative Writing or Library Science. A military child, Brooke grew up in a varity of different places: born in Kansas, she subsequently moved to Kentucky, Ohio, Germany, Georgia, and northern Virginia. Her hobbies include playing the piano, writing, astronomy, singing, drawing, reading, non-linear dynamics, and of course adding to her collection of children's books. She has recently started studying martial arts, and misses the East Coast, where people do not confuse bushes for trees. |
Brian, born in 1976, is currently studying at the University of Utah to complete his B.S. in Biology. He has recently returned from being a missionary at the El Salvador East mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Brian hopes to go on to medical school, and when he isn't in the lab or studying for the MCAT, he volunteers as a Spanish/English translator at Primary Children's Medical Center. Brian was born in Boston, but grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, where "people do not confuse hills with mountains," as he says. When he was fifteen, his family moved down to Provo, where they currently reside. He enjoys singing, running cross-country, playing tennis, making ceramic pots, cloth-mache sculpture, sleeping, amateur theology, history, and collecting children's stories. (Brian says that he also enjoys Brooke, "but that goes without saying.") |
