This rubric can be used by the teacher for their evaluation, in addition to any anecdotal notes taken during work times. The second rubric can be  given to each child, to evaluate how they think that they did during the WebQuest.

Uses Time Wisely

Time is spent efficiently researching, collecting data, organizing, and designing.

Using Hotlist

Engaged in reading information on the hotlist, writing down jot notes, capturing pictures, from the net, or discovering any other neat facts about endangered animals.

Power Point Presentation

Using the jot notes from your research journal, create ten slides about your endangered animal.  Include at least one picture of your animal.  Complete in the time given, and efforts to use some of the "bells and whistles" will be recognized.

Rough Draft for Interview

Information is organized using jot notes; jot notes show effort in trying to have accurtae as well as sufficient information.  Resources are written down.

Buddy Story

Your buddy story should have all of the completed steps used in Writer's Workshop:  story plan, rough draft, peer edit, revise, teacher edit, revise and publish.  Final copy is to be shared with kindergarten buddy.  Time is used wisely, and the finished project is completed in the time provided.

Interview Presentation

Choose a partner to help do the presentation.  Speak clearly and slowly.  Be familiar with the part you are speaking. All interviews will be presented to the class.
