Puzzle 01

This happened a long time ago. I was at Allahabad Bank trying to cash a cheque. The cashier gave my by mistake (this happens very rarely at Allahabad Bank as you all know...) an amount different from what my cheque was for. In short she switched the Rupees and Paise amounts. So if the cheque was for Rs. 20.30 she gave me 30 rupees and 20 paise instead of 20 rupees and 30 paise.

Anyway, I got out of the bank without realizing it and spent 5 paise on candy. After spending the 5 paise, I noticed that I was holding exactly twice my cheque amount in my hand. What was my original cheque amount?
