~~~ Compositing is placing one gif over another. You can do it at image magick but I haven't seen anywhere else on Webtv where you can. So, I'll go over the basic composite feature at Image Magick.
~~~ You may want to print or write this out and then go to image magick and try it. Just so you don't need to come back to this page over and over.
~~~ First you'll need to figure out which images you wish to composite. The 'top' image should be the same size , or smaller than the image you will place it over
~~~ Find the image you wil use as your 'botom'image. Obtain the URL and proceed to Image Magick.
~~~ On the first page you will see two text fields. Take your URL and paste it into the -Second- text field. Then click the 'Veiw' button.
~~~ On the next page,if you scroll down a little you will see your image. Above the image is a grouping of 'file tabs'. Click the tab that says 'composite'.
~~~ You will use this next page to place the image that you wish over the image you now have loaded into Imgage Magick. Place the URL of your -Top- image into the text feild you see on this page. You will see under this text field a pulldown button. If you click this button, it will give you word coordinance for the palce ment of the -Top- gif. Ex: North, South, East, Center. Now, click the 'compsite' button.
~~~ On the next page you will see your comosited image. If it is not what you want just hit your 'bacl' button to return to the composite page and reposition your image. If u are happy with your composite, scroll up and click the 'output' button at the top of the page.
~~~ On the next page you will see a block with different file extentions. Click the extention you wish to use, then scroll down a bit and click either the 'single file' button for sill images. Or click the 'multiple file' button for animated images. Then click the 'output' button.
~~~ On the next page you will see our composited image with other frames of your image below it. Click the image on top. it will take you to your new image. Transload this image. You must transload because Image Magick will only keep the image on file for about an hour.
~~~ And so ends this tutorial on useing Composite at Image Magick. Have fun.
