I was on the bus with the Punahou tennis team. And then somehow, this guy asked me to marry him and I said yes! And then, It was the day of the wedding. But, it wasn’t a single wedding. It was a TRIPLE wedding. Jen was going to marry Jamie, and Ester was going to marry some guy that she had had several children with already. So anyway, I went upstairs to the top floor (where I was getting ready for the wedding with Jen and Ester and a maid). The maid looked like the girl who recently cut my hair in real life. Well anyway, there was a dispute on who would take a bath first. And the maid gives you a bath and helps you get ready and whatever. Eventually, Jen, Ester, and I are mad at each other and everyone leaves the room. There was the coolest elevator that took you up and down. Well we all ended up stopping on the same floor where the cards were being sold. And so we were looking at cards to give each other to congratulate for the wedding or whatever. I saw Maria there. We were laughing and such. Eventually we all headed back to the room where we decided Jen would take a bath first, then Ester, then me. When we were all pretty much ready, I just realized something. I haven’t talked to my fiancé’ ever since he asked me to marry him and I didn’t even know his name! So we all sat there trying to figure out who it was. We guessed everyone from Josh L to Grant (this guy that goes to Moanalua for all you Punahou people out there). Eventually, I decided that I’d just have to find someway to call off my part of the wedding. So there I am, sitting in this beautiful old fashioned wedding dress, not wanting to be standing there left at the alter, but needing some way of getting out of this wedding. By then, I realized I wasn’t even in love with the guy I was going to marry which is an even better thing that I wasn’t going to marry him. Well I did what any girl would do. I ran to my Daddy and Mommy and told them that he never showed up (this is before the ceremony). They told everyone else, so that they would not be surprised when only two brides came walking down that aisle. Me? I didn’t care in the dream that everyone was talking about how my fiancé’ never showed because I didn’t want to get married. So I sat on the side and watched Jamie and Jen get married. For some reason, Jen had these huge paper flowers (you know the kind you get from like those Spanish presentations), and she was running down the aisle. Jamie, had a racquet tied to a string that he wore around his neck. He also ran down the aisle. Then he gave her the racquet to wear around her neck but she held onto the flowers. In seconds there were wed. Then Ester came running down the aisle. Her fiancé’ came jumping down from the second floor, onto this tent thing, and then in front of the alter. Then their children followed close behind them. For some reason, in my dream, I thought “wow it looks like a family of mice”. Then I woke up. |
