School Cleanliness
I hate people who don’t care about their school.  Yeah that sounds dorky and everything but I think that if you go to a school you should at least care about the condition of it.  If you don’t then you shouldn’t be at that school.
Recently one person told me that they didn’t give a damn that our school was recently graffittied.  And doesn’t care that people do that kind of crap to our school.  That all that person wanted from the school was to get a good education.  So it didn’t matter how dirty the school was.  Later that day, one of my other friends spilled something onto the floor.  And the person who told me that the school’s condition did not matter, helped her pick it up.  I wanted to say “I thought you didn’t care about what the school looked like?!”  The friend that had spilt it later told me that the person only helped because he or she was just being nice because she had to get to class.  Well wouldn’t it have been a lot faster to just tell the person how he or she shouldn’t care the condition of the school.  Then she would not have “wasted” time cleaning up the floor.
If the school thought that cleanliness wasn’t important then they wouldn’t spend money on janitors.  Heck!  Why not only spend money on teachers and purchasing equipment?  Forget maintenance!  Even if like the toilet backs up.  Why call a plumber?  We are only here to learn aren’t we?
Basically, that person is a hypocrite.  And that although it sounds wonderfully idealistic that you should go to school to learn despite the conditions.  In other words their idea of the best school in the world is one that is filthy because the school spent all their money on the best teachers in the world.  So while they go sit in shit while the best teacher in the world teaches them . . . . . I’ll settle for a clean desk and the second best teacher.

***  One last note.  School is in a sense like homework done by an over-achiever (some people who are stupid would say "what if it is math homework" or something to that effect.  Let's concentrate on the issue.).  They put so much hard work into it and it gets graded by the public (let's face it, the public will look for anything to bring you down).  What if someone came and marked it up with a dark leaded pencil.  Now someone might say that it is different because you could clean graffiti, well you could redo or earase your homework (assuming your homework is done in pen).  Some people think that graffiti is just like another coat of paint on the wall.  The pencil marking is just like another lair of writing.  Basically, we should not be selfish and only think of what effects us.  People care enough to make our school looking great, and it is our responsibility to respect what they have given us.

***  No one should be offended with what I put up here because it wasn't meant to single anyone out.  I put stuff up like this because I have an opinion and feel like expressing it.  Everyone has their own opinion and it should be respected.  Thus, I can see where you are coming from Reverie and that is fine with me.  But I hope we don't take this issue to an extreme because I would not like to lose your friendship.
