 Glory Road(1963) Um... I don't know what to say... This book easily belongs in the 'Science Fantasy' genre. A worldly, mysterious damsel in distress (along with her whimsical side-kick) recruits a young, war-toughened veteran to undertake a quest to wrest the great Egg from the Eater of Souls. I guess Heinlein cannot be blamed for writing a story ladened with heroism, chivalry, and good, old-fashioned butt-kicking.
