History: Eric Masterson was a college student who only wanted to find a girl and become an architect. Fate had a different plan. During a fight between the Avengers and the Thunderbolts at a museum, Eric got caught in the middle. An ancient walking stick was in a display case nearby. Wolverine, the leader of the Thunderbolts, threw Eric Masterson into the case. He and the cane slammed into the ground and with a flash and bang, Thunderstrike was born. Though he was unsure of his actions, he helped the Avengers defeat the Thunderbolts and was soon asked to join. He soon learned that he could never transform himself back into his normal form. When the alien invasion began, ThunderStrike was amongst those who joined the fight. He was also one of the last few humans who made it out alive. After all was said and done he joined up with Round Table in order to do what he could to rebuild. He has become a member of the strike team - Operation: Phoenix Force.
