Knight's Quest
The Story So Far:

"I say!" says a voice behind you on the road.  "It's that knight, who's on a quest to get a magic stone to save his kingdom.  You know, the one who has to journey to a castle and battle a dragon."

"I remember," says another voice wearily.

You turn around.  It's King Richard and Sir Irving the Explainer.

"How's your quest going?" you ask.

"We're up to Henry the Third," King Richard answers.

"Really."  You peer into the wheelbarrow.  Now there are both legs and both arms resting inside.  They wave various digits in greeting.

Sir Irving grins.  "You might say, 'All hands are accounted for.'"

"You might say that," King Richard replies.  "If you were an idiot."

Sir Irving nods down the road you just came from.  "That's troll country back there.  So now you've contested against blueberries, thieves, and trolls."  He strokes his chin.  "And you must have a map, because you're continuing on this quest like you know where you're going."

"Uh," you say.  "Yeah . . . . "

"But you've yet to meet any kind of monster, let alone a dragon.  Perhaps that will change, for on the road ahead -- "

"Look!" King Richard exclaims.  "Over there in the meadow -- it's an abdomen!"

You decide not to look as they rush off.
