"Soon To Be A Vast Minority" |

It is soon to be officially summer as June fastly approaches and the outdoor skatepark has just opened here in Winkler. It opened on Saturday the 19th of May and is open all days and evenings except for Mondays. This years setup is a little bit different from last year but it is always great to have new stuff. The ramps have been newly fixed and are ready to go for another season (well except for the lopsided weiner grind box). Lately I've been skating everyday and even took the time to learn topsouls on ledges and rails as well the other day. I must say they are the most difficult original trick for me. Also one of the most enjoyable and crazy. Well the handrails are finally all dry and I've tried a couple but never really succeeded. Since the skatepark has moved from the Winkler Bergie Church to the curling rinks parking lot there is a handrail that is near by. One of the guys I skate with has apparintly miszou'd it but I've yet to see it in person. |

The Roces Khuti Skate Yes, I do ride the Roces Khuti's so thats why I'm doing a skate review on them for this month atleast. In coming months I will also do some on the St-90's by Salomon as well as USD and many other products. The Khuti's came out in the year 2000 but they have manufactured a new model for the year 2001. I've been riding them for 6 months and I've never ridden a better skate. The soul plates are absolutally huge as well as a massive negative plate. There even is a hidden pocket for tools in the tongue of the skate which is very convenient. Another mainly personal thing about these skates and possibly the only disadvantage is that they dont come with grind plates, but instead have built in grooves on the side of the skate. Also a removeable frame and Arlo Eisenberg Pro Model Senate wheels. |
