"A Slumber Did My Spirit Seal" Notes and Interpretations
This poem is about the speaker's feelings for a dead loved one.  The idea that the speaker's "spirit" was sealed by the loved ones "slumber" suggests that the speaker became morose and reserved, or emotionally shut down, as a result of the death.  The speaker is glad though, that there is one good thing about death.  The loved one can't age or suffer under the touch of earthly years.
