Mij name is Therese Vermolen
I live in Barendrecht since 1999.
My address is Kabbelkant 14.
I was born in Lichtenvoorde in 1951.
Lichtenvoorde is a small village in the Achterhoek in Gelderland.
When I was four years old I visited the
Kindergarten and after 2 years I went to primaryschool for 6 years.
After that I went to the MULO and I graduated in
1966. MULO A , B and Middenstandsdiploma.
My parents thought I was too young to leave
Lichtenvoorde and live on my own so they sended me to the INAS for 1 year
to learn everything about becoming a good housewife.( I learned a lot but
I never became a good housewife)
In 1967 I went to Doetinchem to become a nurse. I
graduated in 1971 and the day I received mij diploma I quited.Working
in a hospital was not, what I wanted to do.
In 1971 I married Theo Vermolen and we moved to
Rotterdam.
In 1972 we moved to Oud - Beijerland because we
needed more space and a better house.
In 1972 I went to school again , to a EveningAtheneum
and I graduated in 1975.
After that, I studied MO Pedagogiek and in 1974 I
was asked to become a teacher in the Vormingscentrum.I never dreamed of
becoming a teacher but from the first teachersday I knew that this was the job
for me.
In 1978 our son Kees was born and my husband and I
decided to work part-time to take care of our son.
In 1980 our second son Thijs was born.
In 1982 I became teamleider . The
vormingscentrum merged with BBO and became Streekschool-Zuid.
Now the Streekschool is part of Albedacollege and
I became educational manager for level 1 and 2 .
I like my job and my collegae's and I hope the
division Techniek becomes a positive impuls this year.
My hobby's ;
I always read , also in my spare time . I like to
listen to music and I can play the piano and guitar, just a little bit. We
always had a camper and we traveled to Europe and America several times.
Since 4 years we have a house in France and that
is the place to be for me now.
I follow this English course because I like to
have international contacts but also because of the fact that in England
we can learn a lot of the process of accretitation of prior learning and
our team wants to visit several schools in Birmingham.
greetings,
T.Vermolen
