Whistler Mountain
Whistler Mountain, and nearby Blackcomb, are considered to be two of the best ski and snowboard
resorts in the world. Conveniently located in British Columbia's Coastal Region (approximately 120 km north of Vancouver),
Whistler's comfortable winter climate and superb snow conditions make it a great place for an
array of winter activities including snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The alpine
village also thrives in the summer. Besides enjoying the breathtaking scenery, one can go hiking,
golfing, camping and biking there too.

Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain, the neighbouring ski hill, can be reached from lifts
at Whistler village (about 7000 feet below their summits). Although adjacent to each other, their
terrain is very different.

Blackcome Gondola station

Greenery is all around when we first departed from the chairlift station, which
slowly disappears as we ascend.

Patches of snow appears as altitude increases, which gradually becomes fully covered
with snow.

We reached the final station after a long ride. It's a pity that we couldn't venture to the top
of Whistler mountain, which is not accessible via chairlifts.
