Transducers
are speciliazed transformers that convert values and parameters to low levels for relay operations, metering and control devices.
Burden
is the load of a current or voltage transformer described as the impedance connected tot he transformers' secondary winding or the volt-ampere delivered to the load.

Classification
A. By Contruction
1. Wound type the primary and secondary windings are completely installed and permanently assembled on the magnetic circuit.
2. Bar type the primary winding is a single, straight and fixed turn
3. Window type the secondary winding is completely insulated and permanently assembled in the magnetic circuit and a window through which a conductor can be passed to provide a primary winding
4. Bushing type usually fitted over the apparatus bushing with the conductor through the bushing as the primary winding.
B. By Major Insualtion
1. Dry type insulation could be made of dry air or vacuum.
2. Compound-filled insulation is made of a chemicla compound.
3. Molded usually made of Bakelite
4. Liquid-immersed uses transformer oil, such as Inerteen
