Summary(theatrical version):
Just as TS and Brandi are about to leave for a vacation in Florida, she drops the news to TS that she agreed to go on her father's TV dating show, b/c the other girl died in a pool. TS gets pissed, convinced that her father is just trying to seperate the two, and then Brandi dumps him for being insensitive or something. TS then goes over to Brodie's house to find out that Rene, his girlfriend, also dumped him. In search of solice, they head to the mall, and discover that Svenning's game show is going to be held there later on. They meet up with Jay and Silent Bob who tell them they will be happy to sabotage the game for them. When that fails, TS and Brodie decide to take over the positions of 2 of the suitors on the game show. And in the end, they win back their girls, and everyone is happy.

Summary(original version):
The movie opens up at the governor's ball, where Mr. Svenning is supposed to get a big check for his TV station. Brandi is on the roof of the building, looking through her telescope, finishing her project for school. TS meets up with her right before he's supposed to take to the stage for the college's play about Paul Revere. Like in the theatrical version, Brandi tells TS about the game show, and somehow TS's musket gets caught in her hair. While he's trying to get it out, he accidentally fires it towards the governor and Svenning, and its mistaken for an assasination attempt. After the governor realizes that it was Svenning's daughter that was involved with the "shooting" she rips up his check, and he then develops an even stronger hatred for TS. The next day, TS goes over to Brodie's house, but is being followed by swarms of news reporters. Like, in the theatrical version, Brodie convinces TS to go to the mall. But on their way, they stop off at Brandi's house so TS can try and make up. Brodie runs interference with the reporter from Hard Edition, a tabloid-type new show, who is stationed outside the Svenning residence. Meanwhile, TS sneaks around back to talk to Brandi. Brodie lures the camera onto the property where the cameraman gets some footage of Svenning getting out of the shower, although he sees them and rushes out the front door with his shotgun. Everyone gathers on the front lawn, and when Svenning sees TS with Brandi, he's convinced that TS is out for revenge and got the camera man to take naked videos for blackmail. Svenning, in a furious state, shoots off his gun, and everyone goes running, before Brandi and TS had a chance to make up. The rest of the movie runs the same, but with alot of edited scenes, because of the removal of the original plot line: throughout the movie, people recongnize TS as being a criminal they saw on CNN.
