Welcome on board and thank you for choosing Airlink European Commuter VA whose philosophy is only the enjoyment of the virtual FS world.

INTRO

What is a VA (Virtual Airline)?

This kind of airlines are not real, and are invented just to get fun, despite of being some of these very real, with schedules, in-board services, etc. Then, in any VA logicaly there are no benefits for nobody, It is not a real work where you are paid.

Airlink is based in Frankfurt/Main as master hub, having a secondary hub in Innsbruck (the last ones specialized in airtaxi/executive flights) and we fly all over Europe and some places in Germany (as our great shuttle to Munich). For that porpouse we use at the moment 712 for high density flights, CR2 for medium/low density, and BC9/S76 for airtaxi and executive transport. As you may know, Airlink is the little brother airline of Antar South Hemisphere Virtual Airlines, that will be specialized only in medium to long/very long haul routes, and will be closed to its reorganization when Airlink begans to operate. So that, all pilots will be able to jump to Antar just with 10 hours and you will be able to pilot heavy aircrafts.

GENERAL RULES AND PROCEDURES

The most important rule is just getting fun ;-)

  1. Flights: automaticaly when you sign up you have as a minimun two routes per week, that is you must fly to a destination and back, this is the reason you have as a minimun two routes per week. Also, you must do at least the minimun routes  (go and back) per month, If you don´t, you will be resigned, if you sign up, we understand you are interested in flying for Airlink¡ You can see the route(s) assingned and the hours account just clicking in “Assingment” in each hub page. When you have assigned a charter/airtaxi/executive route, just do the froute(s) assigned, for example: Frankfurt-Ibiza, your flight ends in Ibiza, you need´nt go back. But may be confused by what a route is respect a flight? It doesn´t care¡ ;-) We use the route system when assigning flights, a route is  where do you fly to, so that sometimes to go to a destiny, you fly more than one flight, an example: Frankfut-Barcelona, this route is via Madrid, so you have to fly Frankfurt-Madrid, then Madrid-Barcelona, so in one route you have two flights¡ All understood? not yet?  don´t doubt to ask directly to us at the contact form of the web¡ we will be pleasure to attend you
  1. PIREPs (pilot report): PIREP form is located in the Pilot Center. You can fill out the PIREPs you need in any time, but the new changes will be showed each monday (people from the south hemisphere, on tuesday). If you send a PIREP on monday, the new hours  added will be showed and valid for the following monday. About putting the total hours in the form, count the time “from finger to finger”. The incomplete route will not be counted. And finally, just fill out the forms you need step by step¡ is quite easy¡ But remember the facts you need to fill the form: time of departure/arrival, types of aircraft used, the number of  route(s) and the cities go fly from hub to destiny.
  1. BIDs (flight request): if you want to request other route or change the old for another, just fill out the BID´s form you will find in the Pilot Center. The results will be showed as the same way of the PIREP.
  2. About codeshare:  we sometimes agree marketing flights within other VA´s, so if you want to operate a codeshare flight (sometimes included in a route), yuo must go to the Codeshare Center just clicking in "Codeshare" button of the main menu, and you must read carefully all info referred to that.
  3. About the Hubs: just you must know that all pilots with no experience or with less than 5 hours flew in other VA must began to operate from Innsbruck Secondary Hub, the reason for that is because we use a little turboprop wich is based only in Innsbruck and for rookie pilots, whe can not operate this kind of aircrafts from the hugh Frankfurt Master Hub.  But isnt´ It a wonderful place to become a pilot? :-D
  4. Special Operations: how does It works?  All executive/charter/airtaxi flights can be at all times in each destinies availables, the number of an executive/charter/airtaxi flight is AK followed by four digits or numbers, executive/airtaxi begans in 1, charter in 2. In the route cell, "S" letter indicates special flight.

Type of flight code

Number Means
1 Executive-Airtaxi
2 Charter

About assignments, will be displayed in each hub, in the assignment roster a special link to the number of route and some details as number(s) of flight, time         arrival/departure and  name and details of the customer/user that has contracted the service.
