ABOUT "YELLOWBRICK" It's about hard beginnings and fumbling towards peace. It begins with Jesus. The departure of religion and the Jesus figure and I find myself right smack dab in the middle of the Gay Community. I find the pleasure, the emptiness and the shallow surface that leads to nothing, with real substance, that one who is searching for depth and meaning, can find in this community. It leads into love, or the idea of love through sex with most boys. Boys who believe they can solve all your problems with a blow job, as well as the false ideal of a loving relationship, that's ended. I soon fall from grace into a deep depression only to discover a light at the end, and I begin to question the real fundamental idea of enemies and friends. The album ends with a self-reflection. Asking questions I was always afraid to ask, and realizing my need to stay alive despite those answers. I will get to my emerald city one day.
