Tanya
Pritchard and her husband Peter Scarth have worked at ENPROS for 6 months in
2001/2002 as part of the Australian
Youth Ambassadors for Development Program.
For the past three years, Tanya has worked with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service facilitating the development of community conservation projects from rainforest recovery to ecological fire management. After studying environmental science at university Tanya landed her first full-time job with Greening Australia and has been greening the country ever since. Peter is currently completing his PhD at the University of Queensland, working in Queensland's rainforests and coastal waters studying the links between satellite images and the biophysical attributes of different environments.
Tanya and Peter assisted ENPROS and NCDC with the environmental management of community forests and provided advice and training on Biodiversity issues, sustainable development planning and assisted in the preparation of environmental management plans.
ENPROS has many local volunteers who assists in offices duties and implementation of various programs.
How you can helpENPROS is operated almost entirely through volunteer efforts. We would greatly appreciate donations of office equipment, particularly computer equipment such as a scanner, colour printer and a camera to help us communicate to illiterate peoples through a graphical medium. Donations to assist in project delivery are always welcome. If you are interested in volunteering or donating to ENPROS please send us an e-mail at enpros@jhapa.info.com.np or contact us by mail. |
