Nick
paints his miniatures to such level we can only gaze at and gawk! This
was the army he used in the recent PI tournament in Singapore, a list
seldom used mainly due to its high cost, the Deathwing. To justify what
I have just mentioned, you just have to take a look below and you will
believe! I shall now let Nick tell us a little about his army, Nick, take
it from here!

"To be honest this army started as a joke........I got tired
of beating the pulp outta people with the Black Templars (Can you say
broken marine army???) Anyway I had a bunch of terminators lying around
the house and just decided that maybe I should try playing with an all
Termie army and well the only army that legally (tourney wise) allowed
for that was well....the Dark Angels,,,,,Deathwing to be precise.
If you asked me about the strengths and great points of the army I'd say
there isn't really (except for maybe the 2+ armour save all round). The
new assault rules make it even more difficult to play with these guys
'cos you can't jump back into the Land Raiders after wiping the floor
with enemy units in hand to hand.
Originally I envisaged 15 Terminators in 3 Land Raiders, but then decided
I really needed more firepower (after veing trashed several times by the
pesky Eldar) So, it was back to the drawing board again.....Since the
Deathwing army is REALLY limited in the choices of units they can take
(Can you say only terminators and dreadnoughts?) I well settled on THREE
dreadnoughts all armed with twin linked lascannons and missile launchers
for some shooty death. Hopefully the enemy would be too busy concentrating
their attentions of the 2 Land Raiders (with associated badness inside)
that they would ignore the 3 tank hunting Dreads. (As Raymond can tell
everyone.....ignore the Dreads at you own risk!!!).
Well thats basically it...of course the army is really small 13 Terminators,
3 Dreadnoughts and 2 Land Raiders (one of them being the Crusader variant).
Its really a nightmare to play against horde armies and really fast armies......Saying
that, in the last tournament in PI...my first opponent was ummmm well
the Orks......(lost to those greenskin freaks), second was Biel-Tan Eldar
(They just kept running away....honest.......lost the game too), and last
but not least Imperial Guard (Beat those traitorous scum.....) All in
all I had a load of fun except well I could have done better if my dice
weren't broken that day.
On the plus side I did win best painted army. My next project or tourney
army was gonna be a Space Wolf army but I got side tracked (painting marines
is boring) and well the June tourney army is a super state secret that
will ummm at least uummmmm win best painted army again???? Not too sure
about winning the tourney but trust me it'll look darn good,,,honest.
Its been dubbed "Project Pegasus"....don't ask me why or what
it is...like I said super secret....
BTW I spent about somewhere between 6-9 hours painting each terminator
(Lets not even start on the bone colourer Land Raiders...) Its perfectly
fine if I never paint another terminator for the rest of my life......heheheh"
