Last Sunday, we had a intense day at Comic's Mart Centerpoint.

1. IG (Asmizal) vs Tyraninds (Sam aka Bukit Timah Commander) 1500pts

A recon mission turned into a war of attrition as Imperial Guard firepower tried to stave off Tyranid brute strength!! Sam's Gaunts' screen was reaped apart badly from IG firepower and was horrified when one of his two Carnifex got speared by 4 lascannon shots!!

By turn 3, the Imperial lines were breached at several locations by Sam's carnifex, gaunts and on the right flank a bunch of genestealers and a Lictor. Things were quite grim for the IG forces as their left flank collapsed by 2 Raveners and a group of tyranid warriors following close by. The remaining Carnifex was hobbling painfully as it took 2 lascannons shots but still it stampeded towards the Guardsmen. Lascannon shots and heavy bolter shots decided to make a miracle of the situation. In one turn, 2 Raveners, a bunch of genestealers and the remaining carnifex was eliminated. Another Ravener was made into 'Nid mincemeat by the neural claws of the Eversor. Could the IG force pull it off??

The left flank was further exploited as the tyranid warriors went to stampede through and wiping out the IG Colonel and his HQ. The remaining IG force came under increasing pressure by biovores and barbed strangler shots from Sam's Hiver Tyrant brood. The IG Griffon was not performing that well that day as it's shots went off course.By turn 6, two exhausted players comes to terms as Sam rolled the ending of the recon scenario. With a slim 110pts dividing btw victory and defeat, IG forces have managed to pull the rug under the Tyranids ans won for the day!!

2. Dark Angels (Asmadi) vs Tau (Abdullah) 800pts

Asmadi, an old 40K player (my bro!!) came to have a go at Abdullah's "Goody Goody Tau" and played a small cleanse mission. Although they played for three turns only (Times was closing...) Asmadi realised the dastardly Stealth suits sniping at them is causing increasing amount of dead battle brothers. Althoug to his credit he managed to down a crisis suit with a sniper shot!! By turn 3, the Dark Angels claimed 2 and constested 1 whereas Abdullah claimed 1 and constested 1. The Dark Angels are quietly proving that they are as good as any other space marine chapters!!
