Asunto: arrest of artists
I have just received an email informing me of the arrest of two artists, Carlos-Blas Galindo and Iris Aggeler, for the supposed housebreaking with violence and robbery of two catalogs. I understand that in fact, these catalogs had been paid for, and that the place of "housebreaking" is a public gallery. I am also told that these two people are respected academics and artists, known for peaceful and non-violent behaviour.
I am concerned that this is a false arrest and that these people may be being persecuted by authorities for artistic or political beliefs, which is illegal under international human rights law. Please investigate this case and release them unless there is clear evidence that they have commited criminal acts.

Me parece incrédulo que todavía estas cosas estén pasando en México y para colmo es una extranjera la que se beneficia de la venta del arte. Como puertorriquena y latina estas cosas me duelen mucho y les deseo mucha suerte en este asunto.
