The fact that Thomas Savage is so unknown and unappreciated is a horrible injustice. This man was one of the best writers America ever produced, and yet there isn't even a Wikipedia article about him.

The Corner Of Rife And Pacific is more of the same excellence. I was worried, at the beginning, that it would be too much like the other novel by him that I've read, The Power Of The Dog. My fears were put to rest. This was different but also spectacular.
