This book had a great cover, so it's a shame I couldn't find it on the library's web site to link to and embed it here. I had to find it elsewhere and even then it's not quite right. Still, awesome cover. It's a series of covers really, a bunch of books from the series all released together with a theme through the cover art. Great lettering though.
Richard Stark is a pseudonym for Donald Westlake. I had never heard of this author or any of his many pseudonyms before, then I looked him up on Wikipedia and discovered that he just died a few months ago. Creepy, that.
Fun enough book. I'm getting into the crime novels. Kind of makes me want to quit my job and become a thief. You just have to observe, and exploit weaknesses. Or at least, that's the way I fantasize about it being. In actuality it means sacrificing having a real life, and always living in fear of being caught. And nerves of steel. Obviously, I could never do this.
I liked it though. Escapist. Nothing meaningful here, or harmful. Just a nice way to be transported into another world for a while. I'll read more crime, and more by this author.
