Ho hum. Perhaps some of this would have made sense to me if I understood anything about the military. I don't know what regiments, brigades, corps, or batallions are. The different branches of the military and how the ranks interrelate to each other is all baffling to me. As a result very little of Men At Arms caught my interest.
The whole bit in the middle with the Thunderbox was pretty funny though. I haven't decided if I'm going to pursue the rest of the books in the trilogy or not.
