I've seen the movie but it's been a good five years. I hardly remember it.

This was my first fiction book after my summer of non-fiction experiment. I was expecting Cormac McCarthy-like sinister introspective modern western fiction. It wasn't. It was sex and sex and sex. Boring. It looks like the point of this book was this: people in rural Texas have nothing to do but screw each other and their animals.
