Wednesday, July 17th, 2008Working ten-hour days at work this week, so I made the appointment today for two hours later than normal. Figured things would be dead there so late. Au contraire. The lobby up front wasn't crowded at all when I got there so I figured, "This'll be quick." Indeed, I got past the lobby within five minutes or so. Then the blood pressure/temperature/protein check in the little interview rooms and the waiting area in the back. Twelve chairs, fifteen people waiting. All waiting just for open beds in the plasma room. That was painful. Finally made it back, took only 35 minutes for the actual plasma once I got hooked up, another five for the red blood cells to return. All in all, an hour and fifteen minutes, not bad I guess. That would have been a dream donation back at the old place. --- Back to Plasma Experiment 2008 Back to Index |
