Saturnday, July 19th, 2008Didn't quite know what to expect for this time slot. Considering how few openings for appointments there seemed to be according to the scheduling web site, I was rather worried that it would be quite busy. It wasn't. Nevertheless, the fact that it wasn't terribly busy back in the plasma room, where the donation beds are, wasn't necessarily a good thing. About half of the beds were empty. This is only really a problem to me in that fewer occupied beds and machines mean less noise, and less noise means that the awful Cities 97 radio that they have going was more audible. The less audible commercial FM radio is, the better, in my book.As it turns out, busy / not busy really doesn't have much impact on how long the whole process will take. It's just a matter of how long you will wait before you weigh in, before you interview, before you're called to a bed, and before you're hooked up. The busiest days take maybe a hundred minutes, the least busy days about sixty. Forty minutes is the maximum difference there. Is that enough to get worried about? Perhaps. Depends who you talk to. --- Back to Plasma Experiment 2008 Back to Index |
