Thursday, July 31st, 2008Yesterday, Wednesday, a bruise showed up on the inside of my left arm, around the site where the needle goes in. Evidently, I wasn't just imagining things when I noticed that the donation hurt a little more than normal. The lady phlebotomist wasn't very good at what she did. A note was made on my chart that I had a bruise, although it was irrelevant because I wasn't donating with that arm today. When I got there today I had to wait in a line five people long for a computer screen to do the interview on. That had never happened before. Nevertheless, it didn't seem to be a harbinger of a particularly busy donation day, because it wasn't. Fifteen minutes in the waiting area before getting weighed, five minutes in the blood test / blood pressure / temperature area, then hooked up and forty-five minutes of being siphoned like a gas tank. --- Back to Plasma Experiment 2008 Back to Index |
