Saturnday, June 20th, 2009

I'll be due for my yearly plasma physical on the 23rd, this coming Tuesday. The website will no longer let me make appointments for donations, and both last Saturnday and today I've stopped at the front desk on my way out to make an appointment for a physical and been shut out both times. They seem not to be able to make appointments for physicals in person -- you have to do them by phone. I'm exaggerating here, but the point is the same: they make it difficult to make appointments for physicals. The website used to have a way to make appointments for physicals. Now it doesn't.

So I'm off of plasma next week for sure and most likely for the week after that as well. I need to call on Monday and make the appointment for the physical. Assuming they'll let me. Quite possibly they'll say: "Try calling again tomorrow."

It's for the best, I suppose. My body can use the two weeks off. I have the week after next off of work, so that would be a convenient time to do plasma, since I could go in the middle of the workday when I assume it's not so busy there. But oh well. I'm wide open for that week for a physical though, so whatever they have available, if anything, I need to snatch it up and get back on track.

This all is assuming of course that my arm sample that I had taken last Saturnday doesn't come back from the lab with complications like last time. And would they let me know?

They don't make it abundantly easy for you, that's for sure.
