Tuesday, May 9th, 20064:44 A.M.It rained overnight, like storming even, and it smelled lush when I was out running. Especially at the beginning of the run while I was paying attention to that. After I got into it and gasping for air I wasn't smelling it much anymore. But for a while it was wonderfully aromatic. But not stinky like it often is after rain, stinky with worms. It smelled like trees and flowers in bloom. Very humid. 51 degrees Fahrenheit, if my thermometer is to be trusted. 65-ish % relative humidity. Still mostly dark of course at that time of the morning. Few cars and annoying headlights, if any, that I recall. A good run. Home east on Roth to Cranbrook. North on Cranbrook to where it jogs (no pun intended) on Birch like a half block and starts again. To Lakeaires, west on that all the way to Hazel, south to Roth and home. Approximately 1.4 miles. Still slightly sore as of Monday night from the three-mile run this last weekend. This morning's jog got rid of that. Back to Entercarp |
