Tenten is a female ninja on the same team as Neji and Rock Lee. Little is known about her past, for she generally appears only at Neji's side. Indeed, she seems deeply attached to her teammate, always appearing whenever he fights to cheer him on, always following at his side, always training with him. Although it has never been confirmed, it seems likely that she has much deeper feelings than friendship for Neji. Perhaps she is just waiting for him to notice her.
Although given limited attention in the story, Tenten's abilities are nothing to be laughed at. She has mastered throwing weapons in a way hardly seen in history. She has such uncanny accuracy that it is said she can hit 10 targets out of 10, throwing 10 shurikens at once from 50 yards away, 100 times out of 100. She has also mastered several important skills to make her throwing weapons even more deadly. She can use Chakra to increase the speed and force of her weapons. She has also masterd the art of summoning weapons from scrolls. These scrolls are covered with characters, each of which becomes a weapon when she passes her hand over it. She is also adept at using Chakra to hover in the air for extended periods. Of all the current Genin, she is the one with the closest thing to flight, as she can hang in the air for minutes on end while spinning, dodging and flipping, throwing weapons and dodging retaliation. |
