Air pollution means the presence in the atmosphere of any air pollutant.
Air Pollutant :-
Air pollutant means any solid, liquid or gaseous substance including noise present in the atmosphere in such concentration as may be or tend to be injurious to human beings or other living creatures or plants or property or environment.
Sources of Air Pollution :-
Industrial plant and power station burning coal or crude oil like Naptha
Steam locomotives used in vain ways, steamer and motor vehicles
Large incinerators in certaiin municipalities
Sewers and domestic drains emanating foul gasesMiscellaneous, commercial and community activities such as solvent losses pesticides and agricultural clericals.
Effect of Air Pollution :-
Air pollution adversely affects man and his environment in many ways. It diminishes the value of agricultural products. Most important effect of air pollution is that it endangers human health.
