Eola Texas!
3/27/02-Mikeska Gin and the grain Mikeska (I think are the same family) are no immediate relation I know of. However, if I ever meet them I will try to get some ancestor information.

My Father, his parents and many brothers, cousins, etc are buried in the Eola Cemetery, adjoining the Mikeska Gin on the south side. Have a list of the Eola Cemetery?

Interesting Story regarding is Frank Mikeska two story home built from 1914 to 1916 I think. Pruchased from Montgomery Wards catalog. Plans, precut lumber, framing, well, everything except the san and gravel for the cellar walls, floor and building foundation, was shipped by train from Fort Worth to Miles, Tx , where it was picked up and hauled to the fram, (4 miles northwest) of Eola) by horse and wagon. Qquare nails used in construction. House is still occupied by the last son's (Charles Edwin Mikeska) widow, Betty Mikeska.

Lotta stories floating around the walls in Eola Homes.
