Dear Sirs,

I’m writing this letter on behalf of ABC Co.,Ltd. Our company is one of your suppliers that is implementing QS9000 Quality System and now we are about to be ready for certification in [MONTH, YEAR]. For that purpose of third party certification, there are some of items written under clauses/sub-clauses in the requirement which can be waived with permission from the customer. Our team has checked and agreed to ask you for the following items to be waived with the related clauses and reasons for that allowances :

Items to ask for waive from all customer before Third Party Registration

  1. “Prototype Control Plans may not be required from all suppliers.”
  2. Approval signature on Control Plans, PPAP (should not be “Interim Approval”)
  3. Refer to 4.4.4, Design Input; Requirement for Computer Aided System
  4. Design Verification - Supplemental; Requirement for comprehensive prototype program
  5. Design Changes - Supplemental; Waiver of customer approval for design changes (if applicable)
  6. Shipment Notification System, ASN
  7. Design FMEA (for Non-design responsible suppliers)
  8. Permission to use other format of AIAG Control Plan, QC Process Chart for example.

Any supplier-customer agreements which are related to the absence of implementing some mandatory requirement (shall, will, must, is/are required, should) should be reviewed because by accepting of such agreements, the supplier’s Quality System will not in line with QS 9000.
