If you're looking for a bible to take to church or witness with, this is it. While I prefer studying with a bible that has no commentary, for other purposes I enjoy having a bible with commentary that I agree with. So far, this is my favorite one.

I have another concordance that cost 3 times as much, and I never use it. I also have a book that's supposed to help find key bible verses, and I don't use it either. Honestly, my Strong's Concordance is the best tool I have for finding verses that I know are there... somwhere.
In addition, its Hebrew and Greek sections help me understand vague verses without having to learn any Hebrew or Greek.
I highly recommend Kay Arthur's bible studies. She doesn't just give you her interpretation of scripture, but she shows you how to interpret scripture for yourself. It was her bible studies that taught me how to study the Word of God on my own.
