She was almost desperate, almost, but not quite, head held high as she glared at this fool that faced her. Her dark hazel eyes rebellious, and yet, so calm, so very calm. She brushed off her worries in so many ways, but one thing nagged her, this opponent, this large opponent wasn't falling for the battered look, he brushed it off as his gaze slid over her very feminine, if slightly starved form. She was so very pale, and that made her most recent bruises very obvious on her skin, a few bruises here and there, a particularly nasty one that was very dark on her left arm. It hurt like a bitch but she stifled that feeling. She shifted slightly and tightened her grip on the metal claws in her hands. She was already sweating, but after five fights with much larger opponents, well, it was a surprise she wasn't losing her edge yet. She rolled her head to get the last few kinks out, and then took a deep breath. Her booted feet were silent as she crept forward, summoning that intense training that made the energy spent on an attack build up. Then she had locked on that skill of hers, moving forward with a liquid grace to slice first one claw at this male then the other, both landing to leave nasty gashes on his chest, and she would have gone for a third hit, but he grabbed her wrists and plunged them both in darkness, leaving her confused. He managed to twist one wrist till it broke, forcing a cry from her lips as she lost her concentration. Though, her foot came up to hit him hard in the groin, snarling as she pulled her other wrist free before it could be rendered useless, slashing out and feeling herself connect with something, the darkness vanishing as she realized she hadn't won, but neither could continue in this condition. She had gotten a solid hold of his face with her claws, it would scar badly, as would his chest, but her wrist could be healed with relatively little trouble. She knew then that she made an enemy, watching the way his pale blue eyes burned with intense hatred before he was helped off the field. "Hate me if you will, but you will never win". She then spun to go find the only female healer in this whole wretched place. |
