...except Marius who is found, wounded and unconscious, by Valjean On discovering that Marius is atill alive he carries him down to the sewers to escape Javet climbs over the Barricade looking for Valjeans body. Failing to find it he relises that Valjean has escaped to the sewers and follows him...
