History of the Epsilon Colony

Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc. was founded on August 17, 2001 in Tallahassee, FL by 5 Kaptivating Black Men. It was during the following year that the Epsilon Colony was created.

The Epsilon Colony of Kappa Psi Kappa started its journey with Aubrey Hall whom found himself to be interested in Kappa Psi Kappa.

He was crossed by Bro. Nolan Mercer of the Delta Colony in Chicago, IL and named him to be the first in his city on December 10, 2002. Bro. ROUGH CUT was the charter member of the Epsilon colony.

The Purpose of Kappa Psi Kappa

The PURPOSE of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity is to transform an individual through brotherhood, cooperation, culture, leadership patience, diversity, and to expose them to leading figures. The Principles of Kappa Psi Kappa

Scholarship, Service, Brotherhood, and Leadership

Promoting unity of one brotherhood is a common lifetime goal of knowledge and community service to better our society. Our founders believe that promoting higher education of all people will ensure the stability of our future for the society of tomorrow. Developing leadership skills will also help to guide you in life and through all aspects of our principles.

Why a Colony vrs. Chapter

The reasoning for the Alpha Colony being called a Colony vs. a Chapter is because when a "colony" of an organization is organized in that city they enter what is called a "colonization process." This is a process that all must go through so that the Grand Chapter of Kappa Psi Kappa will know that this specific area of the fraternity will be able to maintain and function effectively.
