HISTORY
The history of Phi Nu Kappa Sorority dates back to the founding days of our father fraternity, Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc. Then it was only a twinkle in the eye of the father fraternity, but someone dared to make it reality.
Two females studs came to Kappa Psi Kappa wanting to know how would they go about to founder a fraternity for "stud" females. Kappa Psi Kappa gave them the information and the two ladies put it together. So that they felt the information was concrete, the ladies called a meeting with the founders of Kappa Psi Kappa. Information was reviewed but a surprise came shortly afterwards.
These women asked if we could create a "family" that would compose a fraternity for males, a sorority for feminine females, and a fraternity for studly females. As the meeting concluded, the 5 Founders conversed and D. Sean Benjamin was put in charge of the founding of Phi Nu Kappa. Along with the Founder of Alpha Psi Kappa, Valerie DeShazer, weeks of organization took place. Thus, Phi Nu Kappa Sorority and Alpha Psi Kappa Fraternity was created as a twin sorority and fraternity on February 20, 2002 in Tallahassee, FL on the campus of Florida State University by D. Sean Benjamin, one of the Elite Founders of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc.
