| The Taleons are holding a press conference announcing that Da'an will lead a forgiveness delegation to the ANA in response to crimes against humanity. At the same time, a cloaked jaridian probe in orbit emits an energy beam which appears to affect the Companion protectors with working CVI's. They scream and begin firing on the Taleons killing 2. Liam manages to save Da'an in time and then fires on Walker, one of the rougue protectors, killing him. The protectors escape and Liam issues a code red. Back on board the mothership, we learn that Zo'or plans to destroy earth in 24 hours unless the protectors are found. Taleons from other press conferences in other major cities have been killed as well. 8 Taleons in all. Zo'or replies that Jaridians don't kill this many Taleons in a decade. Da'an scans the CVI in Walker's body and discovers that it has been recalibrated to fire on Taleons. However, he does not know who has recalibrated it because the CVI is no longer functional. Meanwhile, Sanadoval is onboard a shuttle when the Jaridian probe fires another energy beam affecting his CVI. He then travels to Kentucky where Tate has captured one of the rougue protectors. Sandoval tortures the protector and finds out where the other protectors are. Tate, Sandovol and some storm troopers go to the warehouse where the protectors are hiding. However, the hunters become the prey. The protectors capture them and are about to kill them when Liam and Renee show up using a CVI jammer that Street has constructed. It blocks the CVI and Liam is able to get through to his fellow protectors. The protectors are apprehended and taken to a medical facility where their CVI's are removed. Da'an scans one the active CVI's and discovers that is was recalibrated by the Jaridians. Zo'or orders Liam to find the probe. Sandoval is now aboard the mothership. He walks to a window and the Jaridian probe moves towards him and breaks into pieces covering his body like an armour. Using all the secrets he knows while serving as Zo'or's protector as well as the new knowledge he gained from the Jaridians, Sandoval redirects most of the remaining energy to the interdemensional drives. Zo'or attempts to disable his commands but learns that he no longer commands the helm. Zo'or contacts Liam and the ANA and begs for help. The ANA sends Liam and Renee onboard the mothership. Liam attempts to shut down the interdemensional drives but it is too late. The ship heads off to Tal Ceti, the Jaridians home world. A Jaridian ship boards the mothership and Vorjak and his troops are greeted by Sandoval. Vorjak replenishes the Taleons with a bit of core energy. He tells Da'an that he intends to have the Taleons tried in a court of law for their crimes and executed. Then he will send the mothership back with a fleet of Jaridian warriors to destroy earth. Renee and Liam try to convince Vorjak to spare earth but he refuses and sends Sandoval after them. Renee and Liam use the CVI disruptor on Sandoval and convince him to help them save earth. Sandoval fires on the Jaridians. They retreat to their ship and attempt to fire on the mothership but Sandoval directs the energy (the energy that the aridians gave the mothership) into the interdemensional drives and they escape.. |
