It is always fun to socialize within your sim game with other players. This is what keeps most games alive, a strong player network. Include a few message boards which can be freely posted at. Give them appropriate names like, the trail, the tack room or the feed room. You could even rp (role play) eg:

** Tiffany galloped up to the small group on Breakaway Dancer IV. She gracefully dismounted then removed her stallions bridle and let him graze with the other horses.
