Text/Headers
Here are some general Text and Heading rules to take into account when creating
any website.
-
Font - What about font... keep it simple. Try to stay with
the default font and every browser will be able to read your text. Remember
older browsers may not have every text. To change the font put this html in
your body <font face="Name of text
here"> IF you don't put this in it
will automatically go to the default font. A few goodies are:
- Comic Sans
- Arial
- Times New Roman
- Lucinda Handwriting
- Size - Think about how much writing is going to be on the page and try to
keep it uniform. Keep one size for your headers and one for your text and one
for your footer etc ... etc ... To change your size put in this tag
before the text you want to change <font
size="size goes here"> and </font> after the text.
- Colour - Also think about your
background colour/picture and what will stand out against that. To
change the colour of the writing on your page put in this tag in the
<body ....> tag, text="#??????".Where there are
?????? you will need to add in a hexi-decimal colour number. You can
find charts at our links page. One big
no-no. Steer clear from neon and fluorescent writing, you get a headache
trying to read the page.
