Club Policy
ER is a closed club. This means that we do not accept money, horses, points, or anything else from outside games. If you want a horse from an outside game in ER, then you must use one of your creation credits. The horse will have no points and no records because it is not the same one as the horse in the other sim game. You may have 'Holly' the pony in another game, but 'Holly' the pony in ER is not the same 'Holly'. Therefore, all records should be kept separately, as ER is separate from all other games. Also, please do not advertise other sites, sim games or not, to other ER members, whether it be on the message board or through email.

Using Pictures
Whether it is for your horses, your stable, or another one of your establishments, you are going to use pictures. In order to keep ER out of trouble, we ask that you get permission from the picture’s owner before using it. Even if a picture is not copyright, you asking the owner is a courteous gesture. If you get caught stealing pictures, ER could get in trouble too. So, please be courteous and ask before using a picture.

Member Conduct
As a member of ER, you must represent us in an outstanding manner. If people see you acting in a rude, uncivilized way, they suspect that we are like that also. They will look down on us and we do not want that. Sure, reputation isn't everything, but what fun is it to be thought of as a low-life? In order to keep our reputation good, members are asked to obey the following code of conduct:
-refrain from rude and inappropriate language
-respect other people and their property
-respect the council and their decisions
-respect copyrights
-do not harass other members (this includes petitions, chainletters, etc.)
-do not fight with others
-act in a way that would promote ER, not trash it
If members follow this simple code of conduct, we shouldn't have any problems. If you do not think you can follow this, then please do not fill out the joining application.

Joining
Joining ER is a little different than most other sim games: you must fill out an application. Your application will be reviewed by the council and we will decide if you are qualified to play ER and if you would make a good addition to the game. You must read all the rules before filling out the joining application, and please do not use a handle or screen name when you join. If you are accepted, you will start ER with 10 creation credits and $100,000. Please do not start playing ER until you are officially accepted.

Finances
Members start ER with $100,000. You will not receive this money until you open a bank account, nor may you start playing ER. Please do not open a bank account until you have been accepted into ER. Although the bank keeps track of you finances, it is also a good idea to keep your own records. The only form of payment in ER is a check. Checks are to be formatted in the following way:
Date:
To:
From:
Memo:
Amount:
If you receive a check, fill out the form at the bank. The bank can be found in the 'Establishments' section, under 'Businesses'.

Time/Aging
ER runs on real time: 1 real month = 1 sim month, 1 real year = 1 sim year. Horses age 1 year every January 1st.

Member Activity
Within one week of being accepted into ER, members must open an account on the message board and post an introduction or they will be deleted. Inactivity will not be tolerated. If members are inactive for more than 3 weeks, they will be deleted. If you are going to be gone, please email Guenevere or announce it on the message board.

Creation Credits
Creation credits are used to make-up sim horses. Members receive 10 upon being accepted into ER, but these do not have to be used all at once. Members also receive 1 credit a month (these are optional and may not be saved up), and may receive extra credits if Guenevere sees fit. You may not sell credits to other members.

Horses
All horses must be registered in the Database; if a horse is not listed in the Database, it does not exist. No two horses may have the same name (even if a prefix/suffix is added to one of the names), and well-known real life horses are not allowed. Horses may not be imported or exported.

Horse Care
Horses must be stabled at an approved ER stable within one week or registering/buying them. Horses must also be provided with the proper tack, care items, food, water, and bedding (for stalls). They must also be taken to the vet every 6 months and the farrier every 6-8 weeks.

Breeding
Horses must be at least 3 years old to breed. They may not breed at any time during their racing career, but may be bred during their showing career. Mares are pregnant for 1 month. Foal may be speed aged as long as they are 3 years younger than the youngest parent. To breed two horses, fill out the breeding form in the 'Horses' section.

Selling Horses
A horse must be registered in the Database in order to be sold to another member. You may not sell horses to non-ER members. You may either add your horses to the 'For Sale' board, 'Auction' board, or make your own auction/sale page. The horse’s new owner must transfer it into his/her name within 1 week after it is bought. If the new owner fails to do this, they will be charged $1,000 per horse. This is to ensure that we keep an updated record on the horses in ER.

There are more rules on the Approval Committee page and in the 'Events' section; be sure to read those too. I tried to make these rules as clear as possible, but if you still have questions, feel free to email me.
