Boink was found in one night's search in the living room along with Squoodle & Squeedle and Doodle & Deedle - all huddled together on the curtains in a little bat pile!

Boink had come down the chimney and was covered in soot and in need of a bath. I washed off the worst of the soot using a cotton wool pad dampened in tepid water, changing it until the wool came away clean, then dried by rubbing him gently with a tissue - Boink was very placid and seemed to enjoy it.

He did worry me in that he was so quiet and he refused to eat any mealworms, but as soon as it was evening and we hung him on the wall below the roost he took off up the brickwork like a bat out of hell (pun intended!) so he was clearly feeling fine.
